Home / The School / Pastoral Care

The School provides Pastoral Care in a variety of ways to ensure that school life is happy and productive.

Form Tutors take an interest in the well-being of students, meeting with them each morning to provide guidance and deal with any minor difficulties. Students are encouraged to approach their Form Tutors to ask for advice, and parents are welcome to arrange meetings to discuss their children’s school life.

The homework diary is intended not only to provide a record of homework assignments, but also to be a means of communication between home and school about a student’s work and progress.

Each year, two formal parent-teacher meetings are held to discuss not only academic progress, but also students’ attitudes and well-being.

Senior members of staff are always happy to make appointments for consultation on pastoral matters.

In addition, a nurse is present during School hours, and a doctor is on call at all times. All students are required to complete a medical card.
